About Us
My U Turn Story
I am Dr. Ravikiran Bhatambre. For years, I battled high blood pressure, diabetes, and depression. At 120 kg and dependent on multiple pills, I felt like I was losing everything. One night, as I watched my children sleep, I realized I needed to take control — not for me alone, but for them.
That night became my turning point. With discipline, nutrition, and exercise, I lost 40 kg in six months, and for the first time in years, I was free from medicines. But more than the physical change, it was a spiritual awakening: if I could transform my health, so could others.
This belief gave birth to the U Turn Obesity Clinic — a place that offers not shortcuts, but real, sustainable change. Here, every individual is guided to take their own U Turn in life, toward health, confidence, and freedom.
Transformation is the journey of reclaiming your health — a U Turn toward a medicine-free, disease-free life.

Conditions We Support at U Turn
- Obesity & Overweight: Excess body fat caused by poor diet, inactivity, or genetics, increasing risk of chronic and lifetime diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and joint problems.
- Hypertension & Diabetes: High blood pressure is often linked to obesity, poor diet, stress, and a sedentary lifestyle. Managing it lowers the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems. Blood sugar imbalance, commonly caused by insulin resistance and lifestyle factors, can lead to long-term complications—but proper prevention and management help maintain healthy levels and reduce risks.
- PCOD/PCOS & Thyroid Disorders: PCOD/PCOS is a hormonal imbalance in women that can cause irregular periods, weight gain, and fertility challenges. Managing it early helps prevent metabolic and long-term hormonal complications. Thyroid disorders, whether underactive or overactive, impact metabolism, energy, and weight regulation. Proper care supports overall health and reduces the risk of chronic problems.
- Depression & Stress-linked Weight Gain: Emotional eating and hormonal stress responses lead to unhealthy weight gain and increase risk of long-term mental and physical health challenges.
- Arthritis, Alzheimer’s & Other Lifestyle-linked Conditions: Proper nutrition, activity, and mental wellness reduce inflammation, slow progression, and improve quality of life for chronic and lifetime diseases.
- Heart & Liver Diseases: Unhealthy diet, obesity, alcohol, and stress can cause fatty liver, high cholesterol, and hypertension—silently harming vital organs. Proper nutrition, regular exercise, and lifestyle balance help restore heart and liver health while preventing long-term complications.
